blurb sessions

The monthly blurb sessions run alongside the online network and they aim to focus on the individual artist/creative, your work and practice. Informal crits, networking and sharing of ideas for Staffordshire artists/designers/creatives.

To benefit fully from the event we ask if you could bring examples of work, ideas or visuals you would like to discuss and gain feedback or help.

All are welcome; you don’t need to be a signed up to blurb. Places may be limited depending on space. Please RSVP so we know you are coming.

Some of you may already be aware that a number of people, groups and organisations are wanting to further the development and progression of Digital Arts in Stoke.

Just before the blurb session on the 18th Nov there is a planned open meeting and discussion looking at possible projects and proposals in conjunction with the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery and their planned Digital Art exhibition in 2011.

You are invited to take part in this meeting / discussion with the aim of you developing and submitting work for inclusion in the exhibition. If you are interested in Digital Arts then please do come along.

This session will be loosely based around the subject of the 'current artist/creative climate in Stoke-on-Trent'. It could also benefit not only artists/creatives but also other service and industry providers that work with artists/creatives - Gallery owners, Commissioners/Buyers, Educational bodies etc... etc... All contributions are welcomed to add to a professional and quality working environment within the creative industries of Stoke-on-Trent.
