This is our Rebirth Reaction Find more photos like this on blurb You can now keep an eye on us... follow our twitter What a night ! Our latest offering to the cultural fabric of Stoke on Trent, went off beautifully last night. As usual we we're plagued with the usual last minute gremlins but we pulled it off and by the sounds of things on the street... it was well received by the majority. If you were there, thank you... we hope you had a great time and keep in touch, we'll no doubt do it again sometime :) You just missed this.
We now have THE GREAT CREATOR of Blurb, Mr Mark Brereton who is donating his time to enlighten us with visual delights for our MidFest gathering.
Also...
We have been asked by the organisers of the Burslem Arts and Craft Festival to see if we can find Buskers for the Saturday 2nd May to perform in the street. At the moment there is no money available due to unforseen circumstances with funding. In the true tradition of busking you place a guitar bag on the floor in front of you to encourage the public to donate.
Cheers x
Hi everyone we are a group of individuals who create stuff. Like our friends at Blurb we too have created an online community space for you to chat, share ideas and advertise your art and creativity. Please check out www.culturingstuff.com
Here we're fostering, community, creativity and collaboration.
We remember a time in stoke when there seemed to be something going on all the time.
There still is but now in this time of information overload, we've become fragmented.
Burslem doesn't know what's goin on in Hanley and Tunstall never goes to Longton anymore.
All the roads lead to somewhere but no-one knows where they're going.
We're hoping that you'll all collaborate with us to put the culture back into our home. Culturing stuff is about creating as much artistic noise as possible to create a mass of creativity which in turn will provide an online resource for people working in the creative industries in Stoke on Trent. We encourage discussion on the artistic and social direction of Stoke in order to inform the decision makers who seem to control the future environmental direction of our City.
Culturing stuff is about walking up the street and finally seeing something that makes you smile. It's about a great night out, in an interesting place. It's about going out and doing stuff. Meeting new people, hearing and seeing something new and sharing new experiences.
We believe that by encouraging all forms of creative expression, we can develop not only audiences but also future buyers of our craft.
We looking for artists, writers, performers, musicians, media makers, designers, enthusiasts, thinkers, talkers and doers.
A crowd of interested interesting like-minded friends.
We'd like to invite members of Blurb to feel free to drop their creative works onto culturing stuff. Our intention is to spread creativity throughout Stoke by bringing the fragmented parts together and on mass, we can influence change for ourselves.
holy crap, that's awful for you! I hope you're both safe and sound n didn't lose too much stuff. Glad you're managing to smile through it!
I'm on the mend, but still not there yet...will be though.
See you soon & take care. L x

Pick away, you will find me and the guys at WOW very approachable. And we are always happy to have a coffee some time.
We joined the site after meeting Mark a few days ago, and having discussed WOW with Peta. Recently we decided to make new links regionally as we do nothing currently in the area. We have worked with numerous world leading artists in various forms from dance to sculpture in 3d and video form, as well as web. We are looking to activly be involved in the region within the arts and business.
Hey Maffi! it adds tension and the 'surprise factor' waiting for the other vid hahha. Well if you are busy then that is surely mint because in turn that means that STOKE IS CULTURED woop! woop! I'll check out www.culturingstuff.com and add the video to the LookBook if that's ok...
In the meantime, sign up and become a member at Creative Boom and start adding stuff to our forum. :D
